Editorial Disclaimer

WealthWise is independent personal finance journalism. The guides on this site are educational. They are not personalized financial, tax, or legal advice for your situation.

Plain English summary: WealthWise is a content site. We don't sell your data, we don't give regulated advice, and you can email us anytime to update or delete anything we have on file.

1. Educational, not advisory

Reading a WealthWise guide does not create a client relationship between you and any of our writers, the editorial desk, or WealthWise Media.

Our writers may hold certifications such as CFP®, CFA, or CPA. Those credentials inform the quality of the writing — they do not extend personalized advice to readers through the website.

Before acting on anything you read here, consider whether it fits your goals, time horizon, country of residence, and tax situation. When in doubt, consult a qualified professional in your country.

2. Investing involves risk

All investing involves the risk of loss, including the loss of principal. Past performance does not predict future returns.

Historical figures, average returns, and example portfolios used in WealthWise articles are illustrative. They are not a promise that any specific strategy will produce a specific outcome.

3. Geographic scope

Many WealthWise articles reference US-specific accounts (401(k), Roth IRA, HSA) or rules. We try to flag the country context at the top of each guide.

If you live outside the country an article references, the principles often still apply, but the specific account types, contribution limits, and tax treatments will differ. Check local rules before acting.

4. No affiliate or sponsored bias

WealthWise does not run affiliate links or accept payment for product reviews. Our income comes from display advertising.

Any product or service we mention is recommended (or critiqued) on editorial merit alone. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly and label sponsored content as such — though we don't currently plan to.

5. Accuracy & corrections

We fact-check every evergreen guide on a quarterly cadence. Still, tax rules and rates change, and we are human. If you spot an error, please tell us — pick 'Correction' on the contact form and we'll fix it (and log the change at the bottom of the article).
